ALUFLEX

ALUFLEX is a temperature-resistant cable protection system made of aluminium-coated glass fibre. It reflects radiant heat and reliably protects against thermal stress – ideal for the motor periphery and high-temperature zones.

  • Glass fibre with aluminium-vaporised surface
  • High degree of heat reflection up to +600 °C radiant heat
  • Particularly light, flexible and easy to install

About the product
Reflects radiant heat
The aluminium coating reduces heat input (resistant to heat radiation up to 600°C) and protects cables in hot zones.
High temperature resistance
The base material glass fibre is permanently temperature-resistant up to +200°C (220°C for short periods).
Non-flammable
ALUFLEX is based on mineral glass fibre fabric and fulfils high fire protection requirements.
Very light and flexible
Despite its protective function, the material remains flexible and is easy to install - even in tight installation spaces.
Shielding against external influences
In addition to heat, ALUFLEX offers protection against oils, splash water and particles.
Can be combined with other protective coatings
ALUFLEX can be combined with additional interior fittings (e.g. adhesive layers or foam).

Product description

ALUFLEX is an innovative solution for thermal cable protection in environments with high radiant heat – for example near exhaust systems, engines or turbochargers. The flexible textile hose made of glass silk is coated on the outside with an aluminium layer, which achieves a high degree of reflection for heat radiation. At the same time, the material remains light and flexible enough for dynamic applications.

The system is ideal for applications in automotive engineering, aviation or mechanical and plant engineering. It can be easily cut to size, pulled over cable harnesses and is mechanically robust and durable thanks to its combination of materials.
