Fluorescent silicone profile

For maximum visibility in the dark or in poor lighting conditions: Fluorescent silicone profiles from BIW offer safety and orientation – with full elastomer performance.

– Glows in the dark through light activation
– Ideal for safety and marking applications
– Temperature-resistant up to +250 °C

Fluorescent property
The material stores light and emits it in the dark - for warning or safety functions.
Full elastomer properties
Despite its luminous effect, the silicone remains highly flexible, elastic and mechanically resilient.
Visibility without power supply
No wiring or electricity required - the luminosity is generated by prior light irradiation.
Suitable for indoor and outdoor use
Weather-resistant and UV-stable - perfect for buildings, machines or vehicles.
Individually customisable
Shape, hardness, Shore value, dimension and luminous colour can be selected to suit the specific project.
Safe and durable
The fluorescent component is firmly integrated - no risk of abrasion, no toxicity.

Product description

Fluorescent silicone profiles from BIW combine the technical advantages of high-quality HTV silicones with an embedded luminous function. This enables a passive photoluminescent effect – for example for labelling danger zones, walkways, grip points or door contours.

The profiles are manufactured using an extrusion process and can be flexibly adapted to your requirements – whether round, square, flat or as a customised sealing profile. They are used in industrial plants, vehicles, public buildings or medical facilities where orientation and safety are essential.

Fluorescent silicone is particularly suitable where conventional power sources are not desired or possible – for example in explosion-protected areas or emergency exits.
