Product description

2K combination solutions from BIW enable the functional combination of different materials in a single component. Silicone – as HTV or LSR – is specifically combined with other materials such as thermoplastic, metal or components such as LEDs. They are manufactured using the 2K injection moulding process or by overmoulding, embedding or co-extrusion.

These solutions are particularly interesting when several functions such as sealing, assembly, light guidance or chemical resistance need to be combined in a compact design. This results in intelligent hybrid parts for applications in medical technology, the automotive industry, food processing, sensor technology or the household appliance industry.
