Two days full of exchange, ideas, and clear direction: At this year’s strategy meeting, our leadership team came together to define the next steps for BIW’s future.
At a time when markets, technologies, and requirements are constantly evolving, it is more important than ever to create alignment and establish a clear direction. This is exactly what our strategy meeting is designed for: taking a step back, reflecting, discussing – and most importantly, shaping what comes next.
One of the defining elements of this year’s meeting was the intensive cross-functional collaboration. Instead of looking at topics in isolation, the focus was on a shared perspective: How can we combine our strengths? Where are the opportunities? And how do we turn these into concrete actions?
Through various workshop formats, ideas were developed, challenged, and refined. Working at pinboards, in small groups, and in plenary sessions created both structure and momentum. Different perspectives were intentionally brought together to enable new approaches and solutions.
This open exchange once again demonstrated how valuable diversity of thought is. Experience from different areas, combined with fresh ideas, leads to better decisions – and ultimately to more sustainable results.

A strategy meeting is not just about vision, but above all about execution. That is why a strong focus was placed on translating ideas into concrete measures.
Which initiatives will truly move us forward?
What priorities should we set?
And how can we efficiently integrate these topics into our daily operations?
Through structured processes and clearly defined objectives, initial steps were established, responsibilities assigned, and timelines set. This ensures that discussions turn into real progress.
A central part of the meeting was our long-term direction: Strategy 2030. It provides the framework for our future development and serves as a guide for all major decisions.
During the strategy meeting, this direction was not only reviewed but actively further developed. Existing approaches were evaluated, refined, and complemented with new perspectives. At the same time, concrete actions were derived to bring us step by step closer to our long-term goals.
Strategy 2030 is not a static concept, but a dynamic process – driven by our people and continuously evolving.

In addition to the professional discussions, the personal aspect also played an important role. Especially in an intensive working environment, trust, communication, and strong team spirit are essential.
Shared activities outside of the workshops helped strengthen team cohesion and encouraged exchange across departments. In an open and relaxed atmosphere, conversations deepened, new connections were made, and existing ones were reinforced.
These moments are a key part of our corporate culture – because successful collaboration is not only based on expertise, but also on strong interpersonal relationships.

The strategy meeting once again highlighted the importance of regularly stepping back together and focusing on the bigger picture.
The outcomes of these two days go far beyond individual measures:
They provide direction, generate momentum, and strengthen our shared understanding of our goals.
At the same time, one thing is clear: The future does not happen by chance. It is the result of clear decisions, committed collaboration, and the willingness to take responsibility.
With many new ideas, clearly defined priorities, and a strengthened sense of unity, we look back on a successful strategy meeting.
The coming months will show how we translate these topics into practice – step by step, together, and with a clear goal in mind.
Because one thing is certain:
The best strategies are created where people come together, take responsibility, and actively shape the future.
